Koh-I-Noor was established in Italy in 1930, initially to import the first toothbrushes with celluloid handles which had been created by the Koh-I-Noor company in Slovakia.
In 1950 the reknowned Italian company, Carlo Scavini CSRA, bought the rights to the brand name and to the know-how of the Slovakian company and started manufacturing brushes in Italy.
While almost totally unknown and unappreciated in North America, Koh-I-Noor quality brushes are considered among the Europes best.
BTW - evidently some witless morons who know nothing but are
"quick" on the draw when it comes to posting up and sharing their ignorance on various Shave Forums, inevitably mention
that these are made by the USA Eraser/Art Supply company.
Nothing could be further from the truth. These brushes are
from one of Italy's top domestic design houses.
Koh-I-Noor brushes, whether they are shave brushes, tooth brushes or hair brushes, are recognized as a premier marque
of quality in Europe.
